These terms apply to the use of this website and our marriage services.

About the service

The Melbourne Marriage Office is a private company operated by Josh Withers, an authorised civil marriage celebrant.

We are not a government registry, courthouse, court, or government agency.

This website is for simple paperwork-only marriages and related information. No other celebrants are presented as part of this service.

Booking and payment

The process starts when you:

• fill out the booking form
• pay the fee

You do not need to enquire before booking if you are ready to proceed.

Important point about dates

Paying the fee does not by itself confirm the final date, time, or place.

Those details are confirmed once:

• the NOIM has been received
• the paperwork has been checked
• the legal timing works
• availability has been confirmed

Service scope

This service is for a simple legal marriage.

It is not a full wedding ceremony or an elopement package.

If you want a full ceremony guests can witness and enjoy, use Josh Withers’ full wedding celebrant service instead. If you want an elopement package, use a dedicated elopement provider.

Legal requirements

We can only proceed if the legal requirements are met, including the NOIM, identification, and other required documents.
